Hisako Sekiguchi of the Ukulele Foundation of Hawaii will soon open an ukulele studio and cross-cultural store on Kalakaua Avenue near the Hawaii Convention Center. Accompanying the new studio is talk of possibly locating an ukulele museum and Hall of Fame in Hawaii, although discussions are very preliminary. 2012 Annual Ukulele Picnic in Hawai`i was held at beautiful hilltop of Kaka`ako Waterfront Park. Like last year, the event was blessed with beautiful Hawaiian blue sky. Thousands of picnic visitors enjoyed music and ono foods all day long. Thanks to YouTube posting of videos by visitors of Ukulele Picnic, the event is gaining recognition worldwide. Thousands of ukulele lovers from around the world enjoyed "3rd Annual Ukulele Picnic in Hawai`i" at Kaka'ako Waterfront Park. Despite of storm and heavy rain warning all over the island, the picnic site was blessed with beautiful sky throughout the day. The organizing committee has put up a huge tent so people can escape from heavy rain, but it was only used to provide nice shaded area to avoid strong sunshine.
